Accountability
One of the major problems borrowers encounter after their home loan has been approved is the lack of accountability of the parties involved in the home loan/conveyancing processes to the borrower. At Real Choice Mortgages we take charge, and make all parties accountable. Here’s how we do it.
Different roles
The accountability problem arises because the various parties involved in “making it all happen” know their own roles, but no-one takes over-all responsibility for the final settlement:
- The bank attends to the drawing of funds.
- The bank’s lawyers attend to the preparation of documents.
- The borrower’s solicitor arranges settlement.
- The broker deals with the borrower.
When there is no-one to step in and take charge of the loan/
settlement process, it is the borrower who has to assume responsibility. This can cause a great deal of confusion, frustration and stress.
We take charge
At Real Choice Mortgages we know the importance of taking charge to make things happen. Our experience in property settlements, through close collaboration with our partners
Lawyers Real Estate Conveyancing, gives us a major advantage over other mortgage brokers.
Our
personal lending managers know that we accept responsibility for “making it happen”, and they ensure that we are kept up to date with the progress of the loan application. If there are any problems or difficulties encountered along the way, we step in to troubleshoot them.
Conveyancing collaboration
Where a borrower engages our partner firm
Lawyers Real Estate Conveyancing to complete the conveyancing, the whole of the home loan/conveyancing process is simplified. This is because
Lawyers Real Estate Conveyancing takes full control of both the conveyancing and the home loan process as part of their fixed fee service.
Where a borrower appoints another law firm or a conveyancer to deal with the conveyancing, Real Choice Mortgages will work in close collaboration to ensure that the law firm or conveyancer provide all documents and information that the borrower’s bank requires.
After settlement
Even after settlement has taken place, we will ensure that the parties involved in your home loan remain accountable to you. Any outstanding matters will be followed up, and you will be kept updated as to their progress.
We will be there for you for the duration of your home loan, and we will work hard to maintain our long-term relationship with you.
